I haven’t had much time this past 12 months to personally run a biz opp or do the reviews but recently all that changed. I got a call from an old friend of mine and she told me about a brand new low cost business opportunity that had just launched a few days previously.

4. Twitterfox - Use Firefox to manage your tweets and see when your friends have updated theirs through a small, unobtrusive notification button. If you’d rather not download a Twitter software program and use your browser to stay up-to-date on Twitter, Twitterfox is the program for you.

5. Tweet All About It - Right up there with tweeting directly from Firefox is Tweet All about It, which lets you highlight and tweet any snippet of text using Internet Explorer or Firefox.  The Firefox version will also show you how many characters you’ve highlighted.  Tweet your snippet by right clicking and choosing Tweet All About It.

6. PowerTwitter - A free Firefox extension that lets you do broad and user-based searches, as well as post inline links to YouTube, Flickr, TwitPic, Google Maps and more. Also shrinks and unwinds links - helpful for when you’re not sure where that TinyURL really goes.  Works with #hashtags too.

We could write about this for DAYS because you just get so much with it, and selling the subscriptions is really only one tiny part of it. So here’s what happened when followed Gary when he set the business up.

“We firstly advertised our new website on Google, Yahoo and MSN and eagerly awaited our first sale. In the first day we had 204 hits on our website, and we were spending about 18p per click, so it cost us less than £37 to get the people there. The really astonishing thing was out of 204 people visiting the site, over half of the visitors took up the basic free membership, and in doing so they joined the MIB e-mail list.

We needed to measure the power of this product and the auto responder e-mails, so we stopped advertising for 1 week to see how many people out of that 107 converted in to a sale. Within 1 week, we sold 3 by Monday. (Started on the Thursday before hand) This was quite possibly the best news we could have asked for, because we were reluctant to give it a go, and we didn’t want to lose money but this meant that we had made a profit. So the next phase was for us to advertise again on Thursday - Sunday at £45 per day, with the idea of getting 1000 to take up free membership, because if 100 people gave us 3 sales, we wanted to see if 1000 would give us 30.

So at this point we were still hopeful that another £1k would drop in before the end of the month.

So take note of what we’ve spent in advertising vs. what we’ve made, £37 on the first Thursday and £45 on the following Thursday to Sunday that’s only £217 and we’d made $40,877 (£20,383 in pounds) so at this point we stopped advertising again to monitor conversions. We managed to convert another 52 sales and that netted us another $51,844.”
